Skimboarding @ The Wave

TANGALAN, AKLAN, PHILIPPINES.------- We hit the beach early last Saturday. It was a fine morning and I know it will be a fun day. Aside from being with family, I was excited to bring my cousin, Monica.  It was her first time to go to Jawili Beach. It was also my first time to go to THE WAVE.  This was the resort where my mom spent her 51st birthday ( too bad I wasn't able to celebrate it with her).

It has nice view of the seafront.

We arrived at 7 am and I jumped off the jeep and grabbed my skimboard.

The shoreline is just few steps away from the resort. And I am lucky it was a perfect tide to skim. Not that high tide and not that low.

The Wave is located in an area where it is perfect for flatland skimboarding.  It has long shoreline perfect for long run.

Photo taken by John Marlou Salido (my brother).

Ready to skim.

Just perfect.

Sunset

I spent my holy week in San Jose, Antique. It was my second time to spend my holy week out of town. Usually, my parents especially my mom don't allow me to travel during this season.  The photo above was taken on a Holy Thursday.  I was sitting in a park with two of my friends while waiting for the patron to arrive in the park from the church. The pine tree compliments with the color of the sky. I love to capture silhouette scenes, mostly sunset.

It is nice to sit and just feel the fresh air. Well, air in Antique is fresher than that of Kalibo, Aklan (an opinion, no scientific basis).Look at the scene, isn't it amazing?

Skim Spot @ Kalibo

This place is awesome. Low tide most of the time. And you can choose different basins to skim. Plus there is a beach soccer spot.
